The second has to do with the size of the files that get created with the PDF creator. Some have very poor compression and the PDF files are huge. The reason this is a problem is because you want to make it as easy as possible for your customers to download your product. Not everybody is on a high speed connection. I have some PDF packages that are quite large as it is. With a poor compressor, they'd be even bigger. So please get the compression specs on the PDF creator that you choose. Finally, there is the price of the PDF creator. In this case, you don't always get what you pay for. Some of the more expensive ones are unwieldy and a pain to use, while something like Open Office, is free. Now, the problem with Open Office is that you have to download the whole package to use the PDF creation part. And let me tell you, Open Office is one huge product. Plus, you need some installation smarts to get it to work. BCL is easy to install and while it's not free, it's not expensive either.

Getting the right PDF creator will save you a ton of trouble when creating your digital products.
