Ebay Listings - How To Use The Featured Option For Ebay Listings
By Fabian Tan

The Ebay featured option sets off your item in a purple box at the top of the search listings. In some areas of Ebay, that may well be the item you ignore, because it tends to be more expensive than other comparable items. A great deal depends on your actual product. You should take careful note of how other sellers use this feature for similar items.

In some high traffic areas, your item will never get the attention it deserves from customers unless you do make it a featured item. As an example, people that sell ebooks at a very low price often glut the listings with featured products. Therefore, if you are selling your item without this showcasing, it may wind up buried in the listings. That said, featured listings do cost more money than you might want to spend.

When using this option, you will need to make sure that the location is one where it will be one of the first items seen by a potential customer. You will also want to be able to set a price that will ensure you make back what you spent on the additional listing service. If you find there are relatively few featured items in a high traffic area, it may well be a suitable time and place for posting your listings with this option. On the other hand, categories that are too busy or have a lot of featured products may be best left to those already established in that particular Ebay market.
