The reason why many people start an online business is because of the so called Internet lifestyle. We have heard that it is an exciting adventure to start an Internet business. We heard that is where most of the 21st century millionaires will be made. We heard the following and more.

- There are lots of money to be made

- You need only a few hours to run it

- You don't need a start up capital

- You don't need any employee

- You can run it from the corner of your living room

And many more.

While we can't deny the fact that running an Internet business is a good business model and a potential money maker if done well, what a lot of people did not bargain for is the amount of work involved to run one.

If you own an Internet business, you will know what I'm talking about. It's not easy to run an Internet business. You need to work on it as hard as you will work on any kind of business. That is why I have a lot of problems with those that promise you heaven and earth.

Successful Internet marketers are hard workers. They sleep less than most of us. The spend countless hours building and growing their businesses.

I'm not writing this to discourage people from starting an online business. I'm writing it so you can have it in your mind that what you are about to go into is no child's play. It is not as easy as some people make it sound.

- You need to spend time on your business

- You need to spend a bit of money to set it up

- You need to create new products regularly

- You need to build a list and regularly communicate with them

Once you're prepared for the hard work, you won't have too much problems. The people that run into problems are those that expect to make lots of money without putting in the hard work.

The reward of hard work is however beautiful. It is automatic. But at the beginning, you need to put in a lot of work contrary to what a lot of people say.
